On the Milan blues scene for years Danny De Stefani has been recognized as one of the finest guitarists and front men, playing in many top bands. From a young age he developed a passion for his instrument and to hone his skills he began taking lessons with top Italian session man Claudio Bazzari, all the time drawing inspiration from the great Chicago and Texan blues guitarists. In ‘86, he formed Fat’s Band, and set out ‘treading the boards’ in clubs and festivals in Northern Italy. The following years found him working with many musicians and singers on the Italian Blues scene including, among others, Andy J. Forest USA, Texas Slim USA, Fabrizio Poggi & Chicken Mambo, Tino Cappelletti, Fabio Treves, Max Prandi, Daniele Tenca, Gnola B.B. Arthur Miles USA, Ronnie Jones USA, Giancarlo Crea & Model T Boogie , Dave Baker GB
At the end of the 90s he started The Bluespots, which gigged until 2010. His present project goes under the banner of “DANNY DE STEFANI & TWIN FLYERS”, Danny on guitar and vocals, bass, drums and sometimes Hammond/piano too. At the same time, he leads two other outfits, The SWING CLUB BIG BAND, of eleven musicians, playing Swing Jazz numbers by Count Basie, T-Bone Walker and Big Joe Turner. On the other hand, The Maxwell Street Combo is based on the classic sound of Chicago and features Beppe "Harmonica Slim" Semeraro on blues harp.
An avid fan regarding the origins and roots of the Blues, acoustic and electric, it’s where Danny always goes to find inspiration. He’s knowledgeable of many branches of the blues genres that have sprung from them, mastering various styles for his repertoire which is an eclectic mix of classic Blues, Rockin' Blues, R&B, Soul and Rock 'n’ Roll, inspired by those who have made Blues history: Robert Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, Elmore James, T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, Freddy King, BB King, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Mike Bloomfield, Johnny Winter and Wilson Pickett. Danny’s own sound is more like that of modern players, Duke Robillard, Jimmy Thackery, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Arc Angels, Doyle Bramhall II and Stevie Ray Vaughan, plus what he has gained in experience working with the best blues musicians in Milan over the years.
Danny has been active for many years in Northern Italy and Switzerland with all of his bands, both electric and acoustic, with numerous gigs and performances to his credit, all done with that same love of The Blues.
On stage, "Danny De Stefani & Twin Flyers" recreate the sounds and grooves of fifty years of music, adding their own personal touch. Either in electric or acoustic format, and for whatever kind of event, they are guaranteed to turn in a dynamic show, that gets the audience involved, on their feet dancing or just chilling with the sounds and rhythms handed down from the fathers of all modern music.

Stimato chitarrista e front man, da anni leader e membro delle migliori formazioni della scena blues milanese. Innamoratosi da giovane del suo strumento, dopo un periodo di studio al fianco di Claudio Bazzari, noto e stimato session man italiano, viene influenzato dai grandi del blues di Chicago e dal più sanguigno blues texano.
Danny inizia la sua avventura musicale nel 1986 fondando la Fat’s Band e calcando le scene in club e festival del nord Italia. Negli anni successivi iniziano le collaborazioni con altri artisti tra i quali: Andy J. Forest USA, Texas Slim USA, Fabrizio Poggi & Chicken Mambo, Fabio Treves, Max Prandi, Tino Cappelletti, Daniele Tenca, Gnola B.B. Verso la fine degli anni Novanta dà vita a The Bluespots con i quali suona fino al 2010. Ad oggi Danny porta avanti un suo progetto, “DANNY DE STEFANI & TWIN FLYERS” composto in modo essenziale da: voce, chitarra, basso, batteria e a volte piano\hammond. Fa parte inoltre, attualmente, nelle vesti di front man della SWING CLUB BIG BAND, una band composta da undici elementi che propone uno show interamente dedicato allo Swing con brani che vanno da Count Basie, T-Bone Walker, Big Joe Turner ed altri. Con i Maxwell Street Combo, inoltre, avendo nell’organico Beppe “ Harmonica Slim” Semeraro, le atmosfere ricreate si ispirano ai grandi Bluesman dell’area di Chicago.

Danny è amante di quelle che sono le radici e le origini del Blues, siano esse acustiche o elettriche, è da qui che ha sempre tratto ispirazione ed è da qui che nasce un’apertura verso i vari generi che da esso hanno preso vita; per questo il suo repertorio risulta un’energica miscela che spazia tra il Blues più classico al Rockin’ Blues, al R&B, al Soul ed al Rock'n Roll, ispirato, come nelle migliori tradizioni, dai grandi artisti d'oltreoceano che hanno fatto la storia di questi generi: R. Johnson, Howlin Wolf, Elmour James, T-Bone Walker, M.Waters, F. King, BB King, A. King, J. Hendrix, M. Bloomfield, J. Winter, W. Picket, ecc. Il sound creato si rifa’ invece ad artisti più contemporanei quali Duke Robillard, J. Thackery, Fabulous Thunderbird, ArcAngels, Doyle Bramhall II, S.R. Vaughan, il tutto avvalendosi della collaborazione di musicisti tra i più affermati dell’area milanese.

Con le sue formazioni Danny De Stefani svolge da diversi anni una notevole attività nel nord Italia e in Svizzera, affiancando alle esibizioni in elettrico quelle acustiche, restando però sempre ispirato al genere di cui si è innamorato molti anni fa, il Blues.

“Danny De Stefani & Twin Flyers” fanno rivivere sul palco le sonorità ed il groove di cinquant’ anni di musica. Uno spettacolo sempre dinamicamente sostenuto, a prescindere dalla situazione, sia elettrica o acustica, teso a coinvolgere chi ascolta, permettendo al pubblico di sfogarsi nel ballo o assaporare suoni e ritmiche padri di tutti i generi moderni.
